BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls soccer team lost a 2-0 match to visiting Ottawa-Glandorf at Steinmetz Field Wednesday night to open their season. 

Bluffton fell to 0-1 with the non-league defeat.

Ottawa-Glandorf jumped on top early as Lilly Hazelman scored in the second minute of play. Alexa Fortman tallied the next goal in the 18th minute. Neither team scored over the final 71 minutes.

Clara Beach assisted on both goals for O-G.

Nolan’s inventive style of telling the story reconfigures the film into something new entirely

If you’ve been paying attention to worldwide theater re-openings, you know there is one movie whose release date seems to be tumbling perilously into the future, Christopher Nolan’s newest film TENET.

Nolan (INCEPTION, THE DARK KNIGHT) is known for his ability to turn seemingly-complex plots into high-caliber entertainment. In anticipation of his newest film, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit my favorite film of his: MEMENTO.

Register to vote information in the mail

110,448 Ohioans eligible but aren’t registered; registration deadline Oct. 5

Ohio Secretary of State’s office is sending information about how to get registered to vote to 110,448 Ohioans who are eligible to vote but aren’t yet registered. 

This initiative is in coordination with the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), a non-profit organization who assists participating states in the effort to improve the accuracy of their voter rolls and increase access to voter registration. 30 states and Washington, D.C. are members of ERIC.

All Heartland fall sports postponed

Each institution will retain the individual institutional autonomy to conduct athletic-related activities as they see fit

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Council of Presidents, after receiving and reviewing the latest information and guidance from the NCAA Division III leadership concerning the return to sport for fall, voted unanimously to postpone all conference related contests and competitions, including HCAC Championships slated for fall 2020. 

Bluffton University is a member of the HCAC. Other schools are Anderson, Earlham, Manchester, Defiance, Mt. St. Joseph, Franklin, Rose-Hulman, Transylvania and Hanover.
