PHOTO Ride to Remember 2024 registration is open

The 2024 Bluffton Ride to Remember is now taking registrations online for the Saturday, July 13, 2024 ride at http://www.ridetoremember.net/register.html/ This is the event's tenth year of fundraising for Buffton's Bike and Pedestrian pathways. The Ride is a program of the Bluffton Lions Foundation.

Strawberry Fields Forever: Nutrition and health

Strawberry Fields Forever was an original ballad written by John Lennon for the Beatles. It was released on February 13, 1967.  The song was considered a departure from the classic Beatles songs and many felt it ushered in the psychedelic genre. After Lennon’s death, 2.5 acres of Central Park in New York City known as Strawberry Fields was dedicated to his memory.

Science provides insight on so many aspects about our lives and the influence of health and happiness.  These different aspects can include food, relationships, passions and laughter.

One example is a new movement to educate the public about how food is a medicine for health. The food is medicine (FIM) movement aims to bring more components of nutrition into the healthcare system.

Bluffton University and the University of Findlay announce merger

FINDLAY__Leadership from Bluffton University and the University of Findlay appeared together on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 20 to announce an operations merger. Dr. Katherine Fell, University of Findlay president, and Dr. Jane Wood, Bluffton University president, told reporters that the two institutions would become one higher education entity with two campuses.
