Bluffton council reviews a 10-year capital improvement proposal

Bluffton council saw a proposed 10-year capital improvement plan for the village during Monday’s council meeting. A chart accompanying this story shows details of the plan.

It involves several street make-overs including portions of Jefferson Street, Bentley Road, East Elm, Riley Street, State Route 103 corridor, Main Street lights and trash cans, street signs and yearly street maintenance.

Let it snow

Here's how Icon viewers will remember February's 9.5 inches of snow

The past few weeks haven’t been much fun as temperatures stayed below freezing for two weeks in tandem with the heavy snowfall.

Despite that, Icon viewers answered the call for snow photos last week. We received nearly a dozen photos and every one of them has a story to tell.

When 9.5 inches of snow covers the ground what else is there to do expect go outside and play – if you are a dog.

Or, you can take photos of the snow from inside your house or outside, especially after you’ve successfully cleared your drive way.

Bluffton swim club members compete at district level

Here are the results of the first-ever Bluffton school swim team competing in the district swim tournament at Bowlilng Green State University last weekend. None of the swimmer advanced to the state meet.

Bluffton Community Preschool accepting 2021-22 enrollment

Bluffton Community Preschool is accepting enrollments for the 2021-22 school year. The school is located in the Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main St. 

Classes are available for its 3-year-old classroom and its 4- and 5-year-old classroom.
