We thought Ohio had exclusive rights to the cardinal as the state bird. Indiana must have the same idea. The Icon spotted this bird in a university parking lot.

Actually - the Northern Cardinal is the MOST popular state bird in the USA, next is the Chickadee:
State bird in Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia.
Amazing!
Cardinal is also the Illinois state bird.
