The Freed Center presents ‘Disney in Concert: Magic Music from the Movies’

Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present  “Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies” with the Ohio Northern University Symphony on Oct. 19 at 8:30 p.m.

Individuals can relive the magic of their favorite Disney movies when celebrated vocalists accompanied by the ONU Symphony perform music from “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “Aladdin,” “The Lion King” and “Pocahontas.” Rare original storyboard art and video from the Disney archives projected on a big screen help bring these memorable melodies to life.

Pandora United Methodist serves free community meal Oct. 30

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free community meal on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.

The meal this month is provided by the Morning Glory Group. The menu will be beef stew, roll, applesauce, cookies and beverage.

The winner of Week 7 of The Icon Football Contest is Adelyn Althaus.  Adelyn correctly picked 14 contests this week.  Adelyn also won week 6 and week 4.

They remember DTR at its beginning

Nobuyuki Sato, first DTR employee to relocate his family to Bluffton, with Fred Rodabaugh, Roger Edwards and Larry Core, all instrumental in bringing DTR to Bluffton. The reunion took place during Saturday's 25th anniversary celebration of DTR Industries.
