Now it's Bluffton University turn for homecoming

Bluffton University will celebrate Homecoming Oct. 10-13, including a day filled with activities for alumni and the community on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Here's an update on the Nov. 30 Blaze of Lights - still time to enter the parade!

The Village of Bluffton will “Deck the Halls” for this year’s Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Blaze of Lights held Saturday, Nov. 30.

This year’s event, using the “Deck the Halls” theme has many of the traditional Blaze features plus some new features.

Events begin at 4 p.m. with Chad Hartson of Napoleon, award-winner ice sculpturer, creating an ice art statue on Bluffton’s Main Street. This is Hartson’s third appearance at the Blaze.

Artist reception

Color, humorous and profound works by well-known Bluffton University alumnus Jack Earl are on exhibit The Grace Albrecht Gallery of the Sauder Visual Arts Center at Bluffton University now through Oct. 27. An reception with the artist is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday in the gallery.

Bluffton Child Development Center has openings in 3-year-old class

The Bluffton Child Development Center has opening in its three-year-old class, according to Lauren Osting, director.

Parents and caregivers with three-year-old youth interested in more information should contact Osting at the Center, 325 County Line Road, Bluffton. Phone: 419-358-8222.

1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
1/2 pound deli ham slices
1 package pepperoni
1 jar pizza sauce
1 package mozzarella cheese

Roll dough out to rectangle shape. Spread pizza sauce over all of the dough. Place ham, pepperoni and cheese on half of the dough. Fold dough over, pinch all sides closed. 

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
