Peacock Water celebrates 60th anniversary July 18-20

Peacock Water, with local offices in Kenton and Lima, celebrate its 60th anniversary July 18-20.

The Peacock Water conditioning story began in Marion in 1906 when brothers Albert and Jim Peacock founded Peacock Brothers Plumbing.

In 1953, the brothers entered into the water conditioning business. This new business was named Servicesoft, and then changed to Neldon Peacock and
Sons, Inc. Now in its fourth generation, Peacock Water currently employs over 50
people in six offices.

The IRS.gov website is a great resource for free tax help 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our many online tools can help make it easier to file and pay your federal taxes.

You can also learn about filing options, check the status of a refund, print tax forms and find out how to contact the IRS.

BFR craft and home business expo new to Fall Festival

Area craft and home business consultants are encouraged to register for the Craft and Home Business Expo to be held at BFR Sports & Fitness on Saturday, Sept. 28.  

The Expo is a new addition to the Bluffton Fall Festival. The Expo will be held indoors at the BFR facility from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Vendors are encouraged to register by July 31 in order to get a space. Cost is $30 for a 10x10 space in the gym. A variety of crafters have shown interest and representatives from  Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Accessories, Scentsy and Wildtree have already registered.

Street painting

They are painting College Avenue, but it not the Bluffton High School seniors. Instead it is the Allen County Engineers. This is how East College Avenue looks while the paint was still wet on Wednesday morning.

Bring the family: Lightning Bug Theatre comes to downtown Bluffton July 25

Lightning Bug Theatre is coming to Bluffton.

Jerry Lewis’ McDonald's and Superior Federal Credit Union will provide a free "Lighting Bug Theatre" in Bluffton on Thursday, July 25. Click here for the name of the movie.

A Disney Pixar movie (G) will be shown on Vine Street at dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.). Vine will be blocked off from Main to the alley behind the businesses.

Residents of the community are encouraged to bring chairs to set up on Vine Street to watch the movie with families.
