Ben Luginbuhl once beat Ben Roethlisberger in a game of horse

In a post-Christmas cruise around Bluffton several years ago with Ben Luginbuhl and Fred Steiner Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s name came up.

Here’s the conversation between Ben and Fred:

Just then we turned from Kibler on to Main and saw Jon Wietholder turn from Main to Kibler. Must be headed for Sunset. Seeing Jon reminded Ben that he was once on a Bluffton Little League baseball team with Ben Roethlisberger. Jon's dad, Brad, was the coach. "I beat Ben (Roethlisberger) in horse," says Ben-at-the-wheel.

During the Icon's visit to the elementary school on election day we checked out some of the art work in front of classrooms. Mrs. Quinton's second graders recently researched how to harvest the perfect pumpkin. Here are three examples of their findings.

The retirement announcement of Dr. Alan Yoder, Bluffton optometrist, prompted an interesting response from Dick Boehr.

Both Lions and both Main Street business persons, Boehr and Yoder shared many small-town commonalities over the decades.

21-day 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. statewide curfew

The curfew will not apply to those going to or from work, emergencies, or medical care. • Curfew is not intended to stop anyone from getting groceries or going to a pharmacy

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted provided the following updates on Ohio's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

STATEWIDE CURFEW
Governor DeWine announced today that the Ohio Department of Health will be issuing a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. statewide curfew beginning on Thursday, Nov. 19. The curfew will be in effect for 21 days.

Icon music review – Positions by Ariana Grande

Positions is a solid effort for Ariana Grande, although there is nothing new here

Positions is the sixth studio album by American singer and actress Ariana Grande, released on Oct. 30, 2020, by Republic Records.

The album builds on the R&B and trap pop elements of Grande’s earlier efforts, Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019). There is also a good amount of hip hop, neo-soul, and funk featured on Positions.
