Harold E. Amstutz 1927 - 2011
Harold E. Amstutz, 83, of Bluffton died 2:45 p.m. Jan. 29, 2011 at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. He was born May 25, 1927 in Vaughnsville to William and Marie Miller Amstutz.
On Aug. 5, 1950 he married Lenabell Hawk and she preceded him in death on August 14, 1998. Mr. Amstutz was a farmer. He was a graduate of Bluffton High School and a WWII Army Veteran.
Survivors include three sons, William (Stephanie) Amstutz of Surf City, N.C., Daniel (Mari) Amstutz of LaCenter, Wash., Stephen (Charlotte) Amstutz of Portland, Ore., seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Amstutz Jr. and three sisters, Evelyn Olt, Marge Kolvas and Mary Youtsey.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev Rick Hart will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
