Creation Ministries presentation June 23 at Pandora Missionary

Pandora Missionary Church, 300  Rocket Ridge, Pandora, will host a program titled “Dinosaurs and Fossils: Amazing Evidence for Creation” on Sunday, June 23, at the church, according to Matt Steiner, pastor.

The guest speaker is from Creation Ministries International, Powder Springs, Georgia. Programs are during the 10:30 a.m. morning worship service and at 7 p.m.

Swiss Day is June 23

Swiss Day is Sunday, June 23.

The public is invited to bring a hot and cold dish for a potluck  at 12:30 p.m., June 23, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Road.

The program "Swiss Roots and Beaver Branches - A Bluffton Family Tree" will be presented by Carrie Phillips of Bluffton University. Watch the Icon for more details soon

BHS 1979 class reunion on Saturday

Bluffton High School class of 1979 will hold its 40th reunion on Saturday, June 15, at the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club house on Spring Street, according to Jerry Shaw. The reunion begins at noon. Call or e-mail Shaw for more details at [email protected] or call 937-623-9753.

Rocket drive-in movie at library on June 19

Kids are encouraged to create their own rockets to bring to a "Rocket drive-in" movie at the Bluffton Public Library on Wednesday, June 19 at 1 p.m.  Kids will be watching "Muppets in Space" (rated G) in the lower level meeting room. 

Popcorn and snacks will be provided. 

Quarry Farm's  6th annual Family Day June 15

Bring yourself, friends and family for an afternoon of fun in the gardens, woods and wetlands of The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm during the 6th Annual Family Day on Saturday, June 15. 

From 1 to 4 p.m., tour the 1853 log cabin, see Native American artifacts, walk the trails to count butterflies, dragonflies, amphibians and visit residents of the farm animal sanctuary.

Bluffton Sardines won its first swim meet, defeating Kenton last  week. Ada Icon photographer Ken Collins took these photos. The team's first home meet is Thursday and the pool will close at 4 p.m.
