Former Bluffton mayor, Eric Fulcomer, appointed president of Rockford University

The Rockford University Board of Trustees announced that Eric Fulcomer, Ph.D., has been appointed as the 18th president of Rockford University, Rockford, Ill., and to succeed Robert L. Head, Ph.D., who is retiring June 30, 2016.

Dr. Fulcomer is the current vice rresident for enrollment management at Rockford University and has more than two decades of leadership experience in higher education.

"Bring a dish to share" - Senior Center March 14 potluck

Bluffton Senior Citizens's March noon potluck is "bring a dish to share." The potluck is at noon, Monday, March 14.

Bob Painter is the MW, Deloris Hermon is the hostess and the program is by the Rainbow Dulimers.

Let the tournament begin

Bluffton High School boys' basketball team enter Division III tournament play this week. The Pirates face Carey at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the Elida Fieldhouse. That winner faces Coldwater Friday night at 8 p.m. at Elida. Bluffton girls bowed out of the sectional losing to Coldwater 58-39.

Hymn sing at March 1 PrimeTimers

The next PrimeTimers event is on Tuesday, March 1, at St. John Mennonite Church, 15988 Road 2, Pandora.  

PrimeTimers is a non-denominational, community fellowship gathering for adults 55 and over hosted at St. John Mennonite Church in Pandora. This event will feature a hymn sing, with Dr. Joyce Jackson accompanying on piano.

The meal will include: baked ham, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, dinner rolls, coleslaw, cupcakes and coffee. There is no cost for the event, but donations are accepted.
