Bluffton University Town Hall meeting answers merger questions, reflects community concerns

A Town Hall session regarding the recently announced merger of Bluffton University and the University of Findlay began a community conversation about how and why this change is taking place. Some key details were revealed and concerns from the larger university community including former faculty and alumni were expressed.

Notice of Village meetings March 27-April 12

The Village of Bluffton has announced the following public meetings for the council and its committees.

Please note that the next Village Council meeting has been moved from the regular Monday date to Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. to avoid possible issues with the eclipse.

Applications are open for Lima/Allen County Poet Laureate 

The Lima City Council has approved the initiative for a second Lima Poet Laureate term. The Poet Laureate will serve a two-year term and help promote the art of poetry and encourage literacy and learning throughout Lima and Allen County. 

The Lima Poet Laureate will create projects for the two-year term and engage with a variety of constituencies, enriching the lives of residents by sharing and promoting poetry through public appearances, readings, workshops, and digital/social media.  

Applications are due by April 8 and are  available at ArtSpace/Lima, 65 Town Square, or on their website at  www.artspacelima.com.
