July 11 Ride to Remember beckons to families for short rides all the way to those who "want to go the distance"

Bluffton's title of Bike Capital of Northwest Ohio becomes a reality this summer.

Bicycle enthusiasts may register for the inaugural Ride to Remember bicycle ride scheduled Saturday, July 11, in Bluffton. 

The event offers short bike routes for families interested in biking together all the way to a 100-mile route for experienced riders starting and ending at Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

Phillip R. Kingsley, 72 of Bluffton died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Willow Ridge - Frieda House, Bluffton.  Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Letter to the editor: from Senior Citizens board

The Board of Directors and the staff of the Bluffton Senior Center would like to thank Rick and Ruth Grihalva from Forever in Stitches for the very generous donation after they closed the retail side of their business. They gifted the Senior Center with much fabric, kits and sewing notions. The sewers at the Senior Center will be set for quite a while.

Ada farmer's market returns on Thursdays

Yes, the Farmers Market will return to Ada this summer, but in a new location.

The market will operate from the Railroad Depot parking lot from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning June 4.

VENDORS: Call ReStore Community Center, 419-558-1015 for vendor details.

There was a question about its operating this year due to new restrictions, regulations and requirements demanded by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, which now oversees farmers markets.

Stratton Greenhouses open Memorial Day

Stratton Greenhouses, 9915 Liincoln Highway, Bluffton, is open Memorial Day from noon to 5 p.m., according to Susie and Steve Stratton.

There are several weekend specials including:
• $10 off all $39.89 mixed planters
• $5 off all $19.89 and $16.89 mixed planters

Stratton Greenhouse hours are:
Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sundays in May noon to 5 p.m.
