Bluffton Hospital offers vaccines for persons 50 and older

Call to register for clinic on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. • Check story update

Second update - An earlier announcement on March 16 of 40 and older available for vaccines was premature from the Hancock County Health Department. The correct age for Friday's clinic is 50 and older. 

Bluffton Hospital, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, will offer another vaccination clinic for the community.

In this phase, individuals who are 50 years of age and older will be available to receive the vaccination, along with those with Type 2 Diabetes and end-stage renal disease.

Rudi Steiner writes about AM radio and youth in the 1950s - By the late 1950s CKLW-AM 800 (Detroit/Windsor) began developing the Top 40’s programming format that it became famous for in the 1960s.

CKLW AM, a Mutual Broadcasting System affiliate, was loud and slick. Its catchy jingles, 30-second spots and witty commercials were exactly what Bluffton and Midwestern teens wanted to hear.

ONU HealthWise Pharmacy vaccine clinic Friday

Ohio Northern University HealthWise Pharmacy, Ada, will hold its next covid-19 vaccination clinic this week.

The clinic is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, March 19. Vacciination appointments are for persons 50 and older, or with qualifying occupations or medical conditions.

Preregistration is required by calling 419-772-3784 or visit the website attached below.

Mom is riding with her teenage student-driver son. She sees brake lights ahead. Her son continues to accelerate. She gasps. Grabs the ‘on crap’ handle. Son rolls his eyes. “I’ve got this, Mom.”

This is a common occurrence when in the car with a new driver. Is Mom being overly cautious? Is son being too aggressive? Maybe a little bit of both?
