Ada music studio holding auditions for JubilHeirs choir

Vicki Mills of Miss Vicki's Music Studio, Ada, announces that The JubilHeirs – a choir for singers ages 12 – 25, will now meet on Monday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m. 

"This auditioned, 4-plus-part treble voiced choir begins its fourth season on Sept. 19.  The JubilHeirs learn a variety of music, both sacred and secular," she told The Icon.

Recent performances in Ada and Findlay included songs from Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera, as well as international folk songs in Japanese and French.

Chase Eikenbary says Jazzercise is the thing to get you back in shape

Summer’s coming to a close, school starts soon and now is a great time to start thinking about getting back into shape, says Chase Eikenbary, owner of the local Jazzercise.

As an incentive, now through Sept. 15 persons may signup at no cost to begin classes.

Seven class options are available according to Eikenbary. They include:
• Monday – 6 p.m.
• Tuesday – 5:30 p.m.
• Wednesday - 6 a.m.
• Wednesday (Strength 60!) – 6 p.m.
• Thursday – 5:30 p.m.
• Friday – 6 a.m.
• Saturday – 8:30 a.m.

Here's BFR's adult fall fitness class schedule

Bluffton Family Recreation has released its fall fitness class schedule for adults, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

A printer-friendly copy of the schedule is an attachment at the bottom of this story.

The daily schedule follows:

Mondays
7:30 a.m. – Total Body Conditioning
8:30 a.m. – All-star workout
9:30 a.m. – Water exercise I at Maple Crest
9:45 p.m. – SilverSneakers
5 p.m. – Aqua Zumba at Maple Crest
6 p.m. – Aqua Fit at Maple Crest

Chamber's map project created to help visitors find their way around town

Have you seen the maps?

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce recently installed the second of several Bluffton maps created in an effort to help visitors find their way around town.

More maps are in the works.  These will be placed in different areas of Bluffton. Each map is full color and is three by two feet.

THE MAP ATTACHED TO THIS STORY IS ONE OF THE “WORKING” VERSIONS FROM THIS PAST WINTER. THE MAP HAS BEEN UNDATED SINCE THIS WINTER.

There are plenty of hats in all sizes here. Unfortunately, they all look alike. This is the hat rack in the Bluffton High School band room. Soon these hats will be worn again after a summer off.
