No reindeer required

Not everyone gets to drive Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus around town. Jon Kinn, Bluffton fire chief, had that honor on Saturday. A new Blaze event included the Claus couple leading a nearly 90-participant caravan to view Bluffton's lights. For more details click here.

Bluffton residents have crafted new ways to keep Blaze of Lights traditions rolling while observing current public health guidelines.

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) is exploring affiliations or partnerships with another long-term care organization with similar values and mission, according to Elizabeth Kelly, MHCO board chair.

The background on this decision is spelled out in the following news release from MHCO:

In January of 2019 the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio board and leaders engaged in strategic planning for the future.

Ruth "Alice" Decker was a retired dietician

Ruth "Alice" Decker, 91, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at the Mennonite Memorial Home

Alice was born March 18, 1929, in Hardin County, to the late W. Leslie and Hazel G.  (Weber) Smith. On Sept. 23, 1947, she married Junior I. Decker who preceded her in death on May 6, 2003.

Alice was a 1947 graduate of Mt. Cory High School. She retired as a dietician for the Indian Lake Manor Nursing Home.

Citizens National Bank appointment

Susan Bunn named Findlay branch operations manager/client relationship officer

Citizens National Bank (CNB) has named Susan Bunn the branch operations manager/client relationship officer of its Findlay office.

In this position, Bunn is responsible for branch oversight, including daily operations, sales and financial performance. She will also focus on treasury management services for commercial clients.

Bunn holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Evangel University and has been in banking for almost 15 years.
