You can listen to Bluffton University's "Messiah" on Sunday via livestream

Bluffton University’s music department will give the 125th performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, via livestream at www.bluffton.edu/mus.

Soloists are Erin Keesy, soprano; Lauren McAllister, mezzo-soprano; Jason Vest, tenor; and Robert Kerr, baritone. 

Erin Keesy, soprano
Keesy has made solo appearances with the Cincinnati POPS orchestra, the Louisville Orchestra, Butler Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.

Carol Jean Wince was an active participant in countless Ada organizations

Carol Jean (Fleming) Wince, 82, died on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at 9:09 p.m. at her residence in Ada, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Dec. 25, 1937, in Putnam County, Ohio, to the late Clarence W. and Geneva O. (Reichenbach) Fleming. On June 2, 1973, Carol married George M. Wince and on Oct. 3, 2015 he preceded her in death.

Are you going to reschedule the solar eclipse party?

"On Aug. 17, 2017, the Bluffton Public Library held a “Great American Solar Eclipse” watch party.

"We passed out special sunglasses for people to watch the eclipse. Dozens of patrons participated in this one-in-a-lifetime event on the library lawn.

There’s one week to go. Are you ready?
