Ethan Leiber dies in snowmobile accident

12-year-old Bluffton sixth grader was a member of student council

Bluffton Ethan Scott Leiber, 12, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System Emergency Room as a result of a tragic snowmobile accident.

Ethan was born July 8, 2008, in Lima to Scott and Angela (Yeagle) Leiber, who both survive in Bluffton.

Ada police investigating homicide at West Montford, Ada

Lima man dead at the scene

This story was updated at 11:19 a.m. - Ada police are involved in a homicide investigation this morning.

On Monday, Feb. 1, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Ada Police officers were called to 345 W. Montford in reference to a disturbance involving a knife. 

Upon officer’s arrival they discovered a middle-aged male had been stabbed by another male subject who was still in the house trailer.

Officers rendered first aid to the victim of the stabbing who succumbed to his wound at that location.

PANDORA - Visiting Bluffton went to BVC co-leader Pandora-Gilboa and lost a 59-39 non-conference boys basketball game Saturday night. 

P-G methodically outscored cold-shooting Bluffton in each quarter. They tallied 16 points in three of the four periods to win going away.

The Rockets were up 16-10 after the first quarter. The hosts extended the margin by three points to 27-18 at halftime. 

Their cushion was 43-30 heading to the final stanza. The Rockets out-pointed the Pirates 16-9 in the fourth period as well.
