BFR taking extra precautions

All classes continue except for water classes

In response to the COVID-19 developments, Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road, is  taking extra precautions to protect the health of everyone who visits BFR.

"Since the beginning of the week we have stepped up our cleaning procedures throughout the building. We ask that you join us in this effort by wiping down each piece of equipment after use," said Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

University lists events no longer open to public due to COVID-19

The following events are no longer open to the public at Bluffton University. 

• Cleveland Brassworks Concert, March 12

• Senior art exhibit reception, March 15

• 75 years of social work Forum, March 17

• Preventative Self-Care: How to Live Your Best Life Colloquium, March 20

• University Chorale and Camerata Spring Choral Concert, March 22

• Civic Engagement Day Forum, March 24

• Junior Recital/Chamber Ensemble Concert, March 29

• The Quest for Health at the Cost of Healthy Forum, March 31

BHS academic achievers

Sophomores, juniors, seniors with grade points of 3.5 or higher receive academic letters

The Bluffton High School's 21st annual academic letter banquet held on March 10 recognized academic achievements of sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Academic letters were presented to students who have achieved a 3.5 grade point average or higher this school year.

Students with * behind their name are students have repeated receiving awards. The list of student letter winners follows below.

Bluffton University, in alignment with Governor Mike DeWine’s recommendations made yesterday, has established the following plan to protect its students, employees, visitors and the Bluffton community. 

2 Bluffton University players all-HCAC

A pair of familiar faces from Bluffton were recognized when the Heartland Conference handed out its post-season hardware on Thursday, March 5. Senior Tj Mills (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) and sophomore Brianna Gillig (New Riegel) both netted Second Team All-HCAC honors following the 2019-20 season.

Bluffton showcases “art all around us” on May 9

On Saturday, May 9, Bluffton will celebrate the “art all around us” with the 49th annual Bluffton Arts & Crafts Festival. This street-festival style show is open to vendors with noncommercial arts and crafts. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is taking applications with early bird discounts through April 17.
