BLUFFTON - Homestanding Bluffton led most of the game but lost to Spencerville 50-39 after a big Lady Bearcat fourth period comeback won a Northwest Conference girls basketball matchup Thursday night.
The Lady Pirates led 21-15 at halftime as Sami Scoles poured in 12 points. The hosts maintained a 33-30 edge after three periods.
But Spencerville erupted for 20 fourth-quarter points and held Bluffton to just six to rally and win by 11.

For more information about "Bluffton Anthology" click here. Dr. Howard Shelly remembers – Dr. Rodabaugh and Dr. Travis, the two general practitioners in Bluffton, were both were good to us. Dr. Rodabaugh took me under his wing and I took my internship at Memorial Hospital in Lima.

Opal Webb, 95, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at 2:20 a.m. at the Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1925, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to the late Merda B. and Dora (Adams) Williams. On Sept. 18, 1942 Opal married Charles H. Webb and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1976.
