Mary Jane Cook was a 1936 Bluffton High School graduate

Mary Jane Cook, 94, of Bluffton died at 7:20 a.m. Oct. 25, 2012, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.  She was born July 2, 1918 in Lima to George and Marguerite (Dally) Klay.  On May 27, 1944 she married Edgar Cook and he survives.

She retired from Skelly’s Pharmacy, Bluffton in 1983, she had also worked at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bluffton.  She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Mt. Cory, Bluffton Senior Citizens and Bluffton Poinsettia Club.  She was a 1936 Bluffton High School graduate.

Survivors also include two daughters Bonnie J. (Paul) Dudgeon of Pandora and Donna J. Cook of Bluffton; two granddaughters Rebecca and Cynthia Dudgeon; a grandson David Dudgeon and three great grandchildren Zachary, Mackenzie and Rachel Canney.

A brother Richard Klay; infant brother James Klay; and two sisters Marjorie Wilkinson and Josephine Burkholder preceded her in death.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. 

Pastor Bryant Miller and William Herr officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with an Order of Eastern Star service at 5 p.m.
