Winter sports success

Bluffton school's winter sports teams are having successful seasons. Here's an example: the Bluffton Junior High seventh grade girls' basketball team on the court in a recent contest against Ada. The Pirates won.

I'll look this way and you check that way

A woodpecker and a nuthatch take turns cleaning out the feeder in the Icon's backyard. 

We couldn't decide which photo to post, so we posted three. The Icon made some homemade suet, which the clinging birds of winter love.

Don't worry, we have lots of bird photos. This is simply the tip of the birdfeeder.

FINDLAY, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s and women’s track and field team competed Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 30 at the University of Findlay Indoor Track & Field Classic. In large fields with quality runners from throughout the state, the Beavers put in some fine performances.

Carrie Snyder author visit on Wednesday at Bluffton Public Library

BPL will host an author visit with Carrie Snyder, author of Girl Runner on Feb. 3 at noon. Snyder will share her story as a writer, read from her book, and participate in a brief question-and-answer session. Limited copies of Girl Runner are available for purchase at Bluffton University’s bookstore (cost is $26.99) and patrons may bring purchased books to BPL’s author visit for signing.
