What to expect when you're expecting a total solar eclipse, part 3

The day of the total solar eclipse is here and as of 6:00 a.m. in Bluffton you wouldn’t know it. On Sunday, April 7, downtown Bluffton seemed much like any other Sunday, except for a few more shops being open.

Hydrant flushing will take place during the week of April 8, according to the Village of Bluffton. If you see discolored water, run an outside tap until water runs clear.

Funeral arrangements are pending for Herbert A. Grismore

Herbert A. Grismore, 95, of Bluffton passed away April 6, 2024 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Arrangements are pending at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

March 2024 BHS Student of the Month is Isabella Stechschulte

The March 2024 student of the Month at Bluffton High School is Isabella Stechschulte, a senior with a 4.000 GPA. She is the daughter of Amanda and Bob Stechschulte of Bluffton.

BPD 2023 Citizens of the Year recall aiding lost little boy

On Easter 2023, Makayla White, Ryan DeMarco and Teri Steinmetz aided a little boy who was lost on South Main St. But the circumstances were unusual. The little fellow refused to speak and was inconsolable. DeMarco hailed a passing Bluffton Police Department cruiser and Officer Abby Michael came to their assistance.
