Swiss Mennonite celebration

On Sunday several hundred persons attended the 175th celebration of the founding of the first Mennonite church in the Bluffton-Pandora Swiss Settlement. More photos will be posted.

Beck's Hybrids recognizes L&S Farms

L&S Farms, Pandora, received recognition from Beck's Hybrids at a district STAR dealership dinner. L&S, which includes Tim Schumacher, Josh Schumacher and Jeff Lugibihl, was recognized for their recommentation to number soybeans, a process now used company wide.

Beck's has been family owned and operated since 1937, and is the largest family-owned, retail see company in the United States.

Where, what time, what date and who is the opponent?

Icon viewers may now check fall sports calendars for their favorite Bluffton sports teams.

• Both Bluffton Junior High and High School, and
• Bluffton University sports....

Schedules are posted on the Icon.

1 - Hover the arrow over "Calendar" on the black scroll bar at the top of the home page.
2 - A drop down "Sports Calendar" will  appear
3 - Click on it and the sports calendar will open

BHS piles up 517 yards rushing; Ault completes 12 of 15 passes as Pirates roll over Hornets

For the fifth straight season, Bluffton defeated Cory-Rawson and moved to 1-0. 

This year, the Pirates put 54 points on the board and the defense limited the Hornets to just 74 total yards and zero points.  Second year Pirate head coach Kyle Cutnaw was pleased with his squad’s output. 

“We came out focused and followed our game plan.  The boys did not let up on the pedal and played well throughout the game.  I’m proud of our guys.”

15 with Ben & Evania Moser…on Indian culture, how Ben proposed, and ruling the world

Ben and Evania Moser graduated from Bluffton High School together in 2011. I had the chance to catch up with them about their lives together since then!

What did each of you do for school after graduation?
Evania: I went to Rhodes State College to get my Associate Nursing Degree.

Ben: Well I initially went to BGSU for my freshman year of college and majored in Criminal Justice and then transferred to Bluffton for Youth Ministry after my first year of college.
