Beulah Foster moved to Bluffton in 2008

Beulah "Beah" May Foster, 77, died Sept. 2, 2013 at Willow Ridge, Frieda House, Bluffton, Ohio, after an extended illness. 

She was born Sept. 30, 1935 in Johnstown, Pa., to the late William "Ben" and Elizabeth "Violet" (Hagins) Goodman. On Nov. 11, 1958 she married Charles E. Foster at the Cooper Avenue United Methodist Church.  On Sept. 7, 1989, they were divorced and she never remarried. 

She had many jobs in her life including X-ray technician at Lee Hospital, telephone operator, as well as a residential service worker with persons with developmental delays. 

In 2004, she retired from Cambria Residential Services due to an illness. In 1994, she went on a mission trip to an orphanage in Timisoara, Russia. In 2008 she moved to Bluffton, Ohio to be near her daughter and family. Even though she moved away, she always considered Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship her church.  She was a 1954 graduate of Richland Township High School.

Survivors include two sons John Foster of Cresson, Pa., Michael (Vivian) Foster of Aromas, Calif.; a daughter Beth (James) Bish of Bluffton; three grandchildren Ian Cameron, Lauren Bish, Emily Bish; a brother Jeff (Arlene) Goodman of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; four sisters Janet Ahlborn of Johnstown, Pa.; Naomi Goodman of Madison, Ohio; Sarah (Jonathan) Sturgill of Painesville, Ohio and Ellie Goodman of Jacksonville, N.C.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Benny Goodman.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship.  Pastor Gary Tustin officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.  Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. till time of the service at the church. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Lambs Christian Academy through Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship.
