Jacob King, poet, holds book signing and readings at Book Reviews Saturday

Jacob King,  poet, will hold a book signing and readings from his book “Difficult Conversations," from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4, at Book ReViews, 123 S. Main St., Bluffton, according to Dr. Christina Waltom, manager.

Of his two chapbooks, King writes that “Difficult Conversations” and “Getting There” come from “working very hard to say with grace, precision, and humor what I have felt needed to be said from my own point-of-view.”

King, author of a previous chapbook of poetry, “Getting There,” was published by The Poets’ Haven Chapbook Series in 2011.  King is a poet who has learned to “borrow and adapt the forms of his influences who include South Africa political prisoner, Jeremy Cronin, hip-hop activist, Talib Kwell; and others. He is also a playwright with two plays produced in Canton, Ohio.

King is on the faculty at Rhodes State College in Lima and teaches English courses and developmental writing.
