BFR Sports & Fitness introduces SPARK Sports Performance Training Program

The SPARK program is a new training option specifically designed for youth in grades 6-12  offered at BFR Sports and Fitness starting in early January.

Each 30-minute workout will be led by a BFR staff trainer and will include drills to increase speed, change of direction, explosion as well as build muscular strength and increased flexibility. 

Each workout will use a variety of training tools including agility ladders, jump boxes, medicine balls, band work plus body resistance exercises and floor work. 

The conditioning drills will be helpful to athletes of any sport and your first session is free.

Registration is not required for SPARK sessions so athletes can attend in between seasons or as their schedule allows. Cost for the SPARK sessions will be $8 ($4 for BFR members). SPARK  PLUG cards for eight SPARK sessions are also available for purchase, $56 ($28 for BFR members).

 Sessions will be held on Mondays 5:15-5:45 p.m., Tuesdays 8:30-9 p.m., Wednesdays 5:15-5:45 p.m. and Thursdays 8:30-9 p.m..  The program will begin regular sessions beginning the week of Jan. 5.             

BFR Training Staff include:
• Keri McCoy (Certified Personal Trainer, seven years of training experience plus high school and college cross country and track coaching experience),
• Rechelle Bischoff (Certified Personal Trainer, three years of training experience plus high school softball coaching experience),
• Marlin Ellis (Bluffton University senior and football player, completing a degree in physical education and conditioning).
