Bluffton Senior Citizens announce full spring schedule

Bluffton Senior Citizens will open its spring season Tuesday, March 24, with a trip to Columbus for lunch at Villa Milano Ballroom and a musical production featuring  impersonators of Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra in "Concert That Never Was." Participants will also tour the American Whistle factory, where they'll receive a souvenir. Cost is $82.

Also on the schedule:

April 9 -- Buffet dinner and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” at LaComedia in Springboro. $80 includes visit to Friesinger’s Chocolates.

June 14 -- 14 day trip begins with guided tour of Notre Dame University, followed by House on the Rock in Wisconsin, Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home in South Dakota, Badlands National Park, Wall Drugs, City of Presidents, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Devil’s Tower, Buffalo Bill Historical Center, The trip also includes a chuck wagon dinner, Cody Cattle Company and Rodeo, tw- day guided tour of Yellowstone National Park, Old Faithful Geyser, and Grand Tetons National Park. Return trip will include a captain's dinner cruise aboard the Celebration Belle on the Mississippi River and a tour of the John Deere facility in Moline, IL.  Cost is $1,884.

July 8 -- Ron Retzer and Company will present “Crazy Bout Country II” at Der Dutchman in Plain City. Cost of $80vincludes an Amish family style dinner.

July 30 -- Wagon tour of Cook’s Bison Ranch at Wolcottville, IN, feed the bison and chuck wagon lunch. Visit several quilt pattern gardens and the Wakarusa Dime Store. Dinner and performahce by “The King’s Brass” at the Blue Gate Dinner Theater, Shipshewana, IN. Cost: $92.

August 7 -- Murder Mystery Luncheon Train, Blissfield, MI, and a stop at Cabela's, $80. 

August 23-29 -- Myrtle Beach and Charleston, SC, The Carolina Opry, Alabama Theatre, tour of Historic Charleston, Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the Beach. Cost: $850.

Fall schedule will include: The Wilds and Dickinson Cattle Ranch Sept. 11; Oregon’s Natural Wonders, Sept. 12-20, Karen Knott at Der Dutchman, Oct. 8, South Pacific Wonders Oct. 13-20; LaComedia Christmas Story Nov. 12; and Ron Retzer’s Christmas Show at Der Dutchman Dec. 1.
