BFR summer kids' camp Aug. 3-7 - openings available

Amazing Race (BFR Style)
Bluffton Family Recreation's summer camp theme
Monday to Friday, Aug. 3-7

Campers will participate in a week full of fun tasks that challenge their thinking skills, game play and endurance in the Amazing Race-themed challenge. The importance of working in a team and communicating will be highlighted throughout adventures in this race to the finish.

Daily schedule:
7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Pre-camp
9:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. - Traditional camp
3:30-5:30 p.m. - Post camp

Starting next week on Interstate 75

Beginning  Aug. 4, both lanes of I-75 southbound at SR 696, Beaverdam, will be shifted onto new pavement

The following construction projects anticipated next week by the Ohio Department of Transportation may change driving patterns for Icon viewers

Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and state Route 235, just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton, in Allen and Hancock counties, continues to experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction through November 2020.

$500 donation to pathway project from State Farm

Bluffton State Farm Insurance and Ed Reichenbach State Farm recently donated $500 toward the Bluffton Lion’s Foundation to keep the bike path projecty around Bluffton moving. Dick Ramseyer accepted the donation for the Lion’s Club Foundation. Ed Reichenbach says, “Every time we come together, we get stronger. Let’s keep the good going. Share your own #GoodNeighbor story!”

Pirates In training

Bluffton High School girls' varsity soccer team is in training for the 2020 season. The Icon captured four team members on camera during today's session. Approaching the camera from left are Clara Matthews, Julia Mehaffie and Riley Eachus. The three just passed Olivia Smallcombe, running in the opposite direction.
