There's three news items in this story.
• First: Don't you love the glare of the newly painted Bluffton High School basketball court?
• Second: It’s the third annual “Battle of the Badges” basketball game: Bluffton fire department vs. Bluffton police department.
The contest is at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 12, at Bluffton University’s Sommer Center. Admission is free. Donations are accepted at the door for the Bluffton Community Assistance Program. The police hold a 2-0 edge in this tightly-fought series.
Third: The game was moved from Bluffton High School to the Sommer Center due to the floor paint job. There will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and a three-point challenge.
