Durand Dudley 1926-2015

Durand S. Dudley, 89 of Bluffton and formerly of Findlay passed away May 4, 2015 at Willow Ridge - Frieda House, Bluffton.  He was born February 28, 1926 in Cleveland to the late George and Corinne (Durand) Dudley.  On July 3, 1954 he married Dorothy Woolworth Dudley who preceded him in death on April 26, 1997.

Durand graduated from Oberlin High School in 1944 and in 1948 he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College.  In 1950, he earned a Master of Science in Library Science from Western Reserve University.  Durand retired in 1986 after 29 years at Marathon Oil Company, Findlay.  He was an active member of the Special Library Association and served in many executive capacities including Chairman of the Petroleum Division and President of the Cleveland Chapter.  He was also a member of the Historic Preservation Guild, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Hancock Trust for Historic Preservation and Sons of the American Revolution.  He was instrumental in forming the Findlay Adult Day Center for Alzheimer's Patients. 
Survivors include two daughters Jane E. (Boris) Kustin of Bloomfield, NJ, Debbie Andante-Evercloud of Denver, CO and two grandchildren Misha A. Kustin and Daniel C. Kustin.

He was preceded in death by a sister Lillian D. Hobbs.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Willow Ridge - Frieda House, Bluffton, William Herr officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date.
