Bluffton native Lynnita Millay funeral service at St. John's UCC

Lynnita Linda (Swank) Millay, 74, of Jenera died Thursday morning, May 14, 2015, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born March 1, 1941, in Bluffton to Bertrand and Juanita (Lora) Swank.  She married Marvin Millay on Jan. 30, 1981,  and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Leigh Ann Alspach and Barbara Alspach both of Bluffton,  a step son, Troy Millay of Kentucky,  a brother, James (Pam) Swank of Melbourne, Fla.,  two sisters, Shirley (Larry) Copeland of Findlay and Sue (Harry) Osborn of Bluffton. She was preceded in death by a step son, David Millay. 

She began her optical career with American Optical, Lima.  She retired from Luxottica as director of lens buying. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton, the  Rev. Carol Clements officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and following the service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio State Foundation for Lung Cancer Research.  Arrangements are by Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton.
