Recipients of Henry P. Huber scholarships announced

The Henry P. Huber Scholarship Committee has announced the recipients of the 2015-2016 Huber Scholarship grants.

Greg Denecker, Superintendent of Bluffton Schools and a member of the scholarship committee, reports a total of $20,000.00 was awarded to 13 students.

The Scholarships are for students planning to major in vocational agriculture, or related fields of study. 

This year’s scholarship recipients are as follows.  An asterisk indicates the student was a Huber Scholarship recipient last year also.

Emily Augsburger, 2011 Pandora-Gilboa graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Megan Dulle, *2013 Bluffton graduate receives $2,500.00 to attend The University of Findlay.

Ekaterina Hardman, 2015 Bath graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Tyler Harris, 2013 Cory-Rawson graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Reed Hovest, *2014 Pandora-Gilboa graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend University of Northwestern of Ohio.

Savannah Long, *2012 Cory-Rawson graduate receives $2,500.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Grant Lugibihl, 2015 Pandora-Gilboa graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend University of Northwestern of Ohio.

Megan Ritter, 2015 Cory-Rawson graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Andrew Spallinger, 2015 Bluffton graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Cecelia Untendorf, *2012 Columbus Grove graduate receives $2,500.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Aaron Welch, 2013 Cory-Rawson graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The Ohio State University.

Rebekah White, 2015 Cory-Rawson graduate receives $1,250.00 to attend The University of Findlay.

The Huber Scholarship is now in its 36th year of existence.  Henry P. Huber was a farmer and businessman in Bluffton who died in 1977 leaving money to be used for educational activities outside the public school system in the area of agriculture and agricultural-related industries.

Huber Scholarship Committee members are Greg Denecker, Superintendent of Bluffton Exempted Village Schools, Mike Romey of Citizens National Bank and Donald Overmyer, former Bluffton High School Vocational Agriculture teacher.
