Charles Shepler had worked for Buckeye Pipeline for 45 years

Charles E. "Chuck" Shepler, 97, died Aug. 14, 2015, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.  Chuck was born June 3, 1918, in Rockford to the late Robert and Marintha (Roberts) Shepler. On Oct. 14, 1939, he married Augusta "Mim" (Kill) Shepler who preceded him in death on April 16, 2009.

Chuck had worked for Buckeye Pipeline for 45 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Chuck was a member of the Columbus Grove Eagles #2772, Bluffton Senior Citizens and the Ada VFW.  He was also a member of the Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association. 

Survivors include two sons Terry (Phyllis) Shepler of Mount Cory, Larry  (Peggy) Shepler of Columbus Grove; three daughters Barbara Nusbaum of Bluffton, Linda Moser of Mt. Cory, Dorothy  (Roger) Leiber of Bluffton; a brother Homer "Bob" (Arlene) Shepler of Mt. Cory, three sisters Mary Margaret Kenyon of Greenville, Pa., Donna June Rempher of Spencerville, Lenore (David) Reiter of Mt. Cory; 15 grandchildren;  six step grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 16 step great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren, and 17 step great great grandchildren.

Chuck was also preceded in death by a brother Carl Shepler; a sister Leona Morris; and two son-in-laws Tom Nusbaum and David  Moser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday Aug. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Father John Stites officiating.  Burial will  be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton  following the service. 

Visitation will be Monday from 2 - 8 p.m. at  Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
