Health care law discussed in Constitution Day Forum Sept. 17

Dr. Timothy Jost, the Robert L. Willett Family Professor of Law in the Washington and Lee University School of Law, will examine “The Constitution and Health Care for the Uninsured” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in Founders Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Jost will address why it is difficult to reform health care financing in the U.S. constitutional system. He is a widely cited expert on the Affordable Care Act, President Barack Obama’s health care law.

The presentation is Bluffton’s Constitution Day Forum. All educational institutions that receive federal funds are required to offer an instructional program each year on or near Sept. 17, the day the U.S. Constitution was signed in 1787.
