Participants in the fourth annual Giving Tuesday—a global initiative to encourage charitable giving amid holiday consumerism—can, for the second year, direct their generosity to Bluffton University on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The university hopes to raise $50,000 in online gifts and/or receive 100 gifts in 24 hours that day. For every gift of $10 or more, an anonymous donor will give $100 to the Bluffton Fund. Go to www.bluffton.edu/givingtuesday<http://www.bluffton.edu/givingtuesday> to make a gift, and to check on Bluffton’s progress toward its goal, on Dec. 1. Participants are also encouraged to advocate for the university on Facebook and Twitter that day.
