Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO), celebrating its 60th annivesary year, will be recognized during the Saturday, Nov. 28, Blaze of Lights.

Terry Mullenhour, chairperson of the Village Cultural Affairs Committee, who choses the switch hitter and parade marshals said that the committee chose MHCO because of their anniversary year and their long committment of service to the community.

Paul Dyck, retired administrator, is this year's "switch hitter." In addition, several residents and associates serve as parade marshals.

They are Laura Voth, current administrator, Randy and Sue Richards, long-time employees, Ernie Porzelius, retired chaplain and Bob Bowersox, resident.

Each of these persons will ride at the front of the Blaze parade in classic vehicles owned and driven by members of the Larry and Judy Reichenbach family.

As of Monday this year's parade has over 100 units, according to Junior Weihrauch, parade director. That translates to a 60 minute parade.

Weihrauch is still accepting parade units. As a last-minute call for parade entries, contact [email protected] for details.
