Etta Jo Huber was active in several local organizations

Etta Jo Huber, 86, died Feb. 5, 2016, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born Dec. 27, 1929, in Circleville to Joliffe B. and Irene (Osborne) Maynard.  On Jan. 21, 1951, she married Dale L Huber, and he survives near Bluffton.
 
Etta graduated from Commercial Point High School in 1946 and Office Training School, Columbus in 1947.  She enjoyed raising her family, being a farm wife, and helping run the family business, Specialty Foods of Ohio, that she co-owned with her husband for 20 years before retiring in 1990.
 
She was a member of Rockport United Methodist Church, Mended Hearts, Bluffton Senior Citizens, and The Gideons International Auxiliary.  She was a former member of Rockport United Methodist Women, Farm Bureau Council #15, Richland Township Farm Women's Improvement Club, and American Legion Auxiliary of which she held many offices.
 
Etta is survived by her children Susan (Juan) Diaz, Larry (Judy) Huber, and David Huber of Bluffton, Terry (Cheryl) Huber and Lori Leftenant of Lima, Jack (Vicky) Huber of Troy, and sister, Sally Clegg of Columbus. 

She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, Nicholas (Trisha) Gatchel, Nathan (Tracey) Gatchel, Jonathon (Amy) Huber, Laura (Drew) Plaugher, Melissa (Ken) Flick, Melanie (Edward) Phillips, Melinda (Brian) Clymer, Joshua Huber, Daphinie Wolff, Amanda (Devin) Shobe, Joliffe Huber, Josephine Huber, Alyn-Michael Begley, Kyle Huber, Timothy Huber, Daniel Huber, and Lydia Huber, and 19 great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joliffe, Jr, James, and Daniel Maynard and 1 sister, Joyce Colosimo.
 
A celebration of life is  at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 8, at Rockport United Methodist Church, 5505 Rockport Road, Columbus Grove.  Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby will officiate.  Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton, and one hour before the service Monday.
