Ruth I. Seem, 79, of Bluffton died March 6, 2016, at 6 a.m. at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
Ruth was born May 19, 1938, in Fostoria to the late Robert and Wilda Criswell Hottenstein. On Oct. 27, 1953, she married Gerald D. Seem who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2014.
Ruth was a homemaker. She was a member of Gospel Fellowship Church, Rawson. She enjoyed reading and cross stitching.
Ruth is survived by a son, James R. (Deborah) Seem of Findlay, a daughter, Marie C. (Scott) Wilkins of Bluffton, four granddaughters, Crystal Seem, Amanda Seem, Jennifer (Michael) Irish, Heather (Jeremy) Hamilton, six great grandchildren, Kate Seem, Shayla Hamilton, Jason Hamilton, Jessica Irish, Sarah Irish, Michael Irish Jr. and a sister, Alice (Norman) Brickner of Bascom.
Services were March 9 at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastors David Clark and David Miller officiated. Burial was in Thompson Cemetery, Bluffton. Memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Memorial Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
