Alec Mast (Millersburg/Hiland) connected with Blake Hershberger (Canton/McKinley) in minute 47, making the score 1-1 early in the second period. However, Wittenberg hit paydirt in minute 74 and again with just over six minutes to play en route to a 3-1 victory at the Sears Complex.

The visitors finished with a 24-7 edge in shots and an 11-1 margin on corner kicks. Wittenberg was also whistled for eight more fouls (12-4).

Grant Stutzman (Sugarcreek/Hiland) led the hosts with four shot attempts, including two on frame. Fellow senior Matt Hardman-Zimmerman (Forest City, Penn.) kept the Beavers in the match with eight saves.
