Rowe earns 2nd straight HCAC Player of Week

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University's KAYCEE ROWE (Harrod/Allen East) bucketed 22 points and six rebounds per game as the Beavers improved to 19-4 following road wins at Defiance and Anderson last week. She earned her second straight Heartland Conference Player of the Week honor and is the second Bluffton women's basketball player to be recognized this year following Rachel Beining (Ottoville) who took home the same award four weeks ago.  

Rowe paced the Beavers in a pair of road victories at Defiance and Anderson. The junior dropped in 22.0 PPG on
14-of-25 (56 percent) from the field. She was 2-of-3 from distance and a nearly perfect 14-of-15 (93.3 percent) at the stripe. The versatile wing came up with four steals and finished the week with five assists.

In Bluffton's 69-57 win at Anderson, Rowe led the Beaver offense for the sixth straight game, dropping in 21 points on 7-of-13 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 at the stripe. She ripped down seven boards and picked up four steals against the Ravens.

Rowe leads the Heartland Conference with an 88.7 FT percentage (86-of-97) and she is 3rd in the HCAC at 14.5 PPG. The versatile wing is 3rd in the conference with 3.3 APG and 2nd with 2.5 SPG.

The Beavers travel to Earlham College on Wednesday, Feb. 15, for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off, before welcoming Hanover for Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m.
