Rachel Woodruff recognized as an outstanding student

Rachel Woodruff of Bluffton was recognized as an outstanding student at the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute's 28th annual student recognition banquet on April 12.

Woodruff will graduate May 6 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in
greenhouse and nursery management.

She was selected this year by the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences as a Newcomb Scholar and achieved Director’s List honors. She completed an internship at Bern’s Greenhouse and Garden Center.

Woodruff plans to continue her education on the Columbus campus of the Ohio
State University, completing a bachelor’s degree in sustainable plant
systems and hopes to secure employment in a hydroponic greenhouse.

She would eventually like to pursue both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. Ohio State ATI, located in Wooster, Ohio, is an associate degree granting program within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University.

Ohio State ATI is ranked number one in the nation in the granting of associate degrees in agriculture and related sciences.
