Volleyball falls to #4 Wittenberg

TIFFIN, Ohio - The Bluffton University volleyball team fell to #4 Wittenberg on the opening night of the No One Fights Alone Invitational at Heidelberg University. Bluffton stands 4-2, while the Tigers stayed perfect at 4-0.

The Beavers led 5-4 in the first before Wittenberg took control with a 6-1 spurt for the 10-6 lead. The Tigers never looked back, dispatching Bluffton in three quick sets (25-15, 25-14, 25-11).

Remi Bower (Hamler/Patrick Henry) and Bethany Martini (Pickerington/North) paced the Beaver hitters with eight and seven kills, respectively. Erin Weisgarber (Bolivar/Tuscarawas Valley) doled out 20 assists to go along with her seven digs. Sydney Mohler (Lima/Central Catholic) picked up a match-high 15 digs.

Bluffton returns to Tiffin on Saturday for a 10 a.m. matchup with Thomas More before wrapping up the weekend with a 12:30 p.m. meeting against the host Student Princes.
