Renee Reichenbach 1942-2018

Renee Elizabeth Reichenbach, formerly known as Richard Eugene Reichenbach, 76, formerly of Bluffton, died May 2, 2018 at her home in Columbus.  Renee was born April 2, 1942 in Bluffton, Ohio, to Ulysses and Virginia (Basinger) Reichenbach who preceded her in death. On Aug. 14, 1965, Richard married Ann M. Schafer and they were divorced. Ann survives in Ada, Ohio.

Renee graduated from Bluffton High School and attended Ohio Northern University. She was a carpenter, professional remodeler, woodworker and former owner of Reichenbach Services. Renee was a former employee of Steinman Bros. Lumber Company in Bluffton and had also been a farmer. She was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church in Columbus and former member of the Allen County Farm Bureau.  

Survivors include a daughter, Virginia L. Bandy of Richmond, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, DeeAnn Reichenbach of Hilliard, Ohio; a granddaughter, Eleanor Grace Reichenbach of Hilliard; a sister, Joyce (Wes) Beery of Urbana, Ohio; a step-brother, Jim (Linda) Steiner of Pandora; a sister-in-law, Barbara Steiner of Wapakoneta; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A son, Dick C. Reichenbach passed away May 1, 2018, in Hilliard.  She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Betty Lou (Clymer) Steiner Reichenbach; two step-sisters, Sarah Steiner Murphy and Judith Steiner; two step-brothers, Joe Steiner and John Steiner; and a son-in-law, Roderick Bandy. 

Per Renee's wishes, she was cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Bluffton. 

Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for granddaughter Eleanor Grace at Goodyear Employees Credit Union, P.O. Box 66, Marysville, Ohio 43040.
