Wade Moser operated Moser Egg Farm

Wade J. Moser, 80,died Dec. 9, 2018, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.  Wade was born Feb. 26, 1938, in Bluffton to the late Raymond and Burnetta (Steiner) Moser.  On June 9, 1961, he married Barbara Klingler Moser who survives. 

Wade was a farmer and founder and operator of Moser Egg Farm with his wife.  In 1956, after graduating from Bluffton High School and working for Culligan, he started the family egg farm with 500 laying hens.  In 1962, he went full time with his egg farm. Wade was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church.

Survivors include four children, Kim Ley of Coldwater, Ohio, Bart (Joy) Moser of Bluffton, Bruce (Cindy) Moser of Columbus Grove, Lynette (Alan) Sommer of Bluffton; nine grandchildren, Kory (Becky) Ley, Natasha (Mitch) Lopez, Benjamin (Evania) Moser, Amber (Jaden) August, Alexis (Brent) von Stein, Molly (Trevor) Meyer, Kyle Bewsey, Ian (Kendra Tuttle) Moser, Rachel Moser; two great-grandchildren, Maren August, Stanley von Stein; a brother, Larry (Ginny) Moser of Columbus Grove; and four sisters, Joan Wright of Arizona,  Lou (Mike) Geiger of Dunkirk, Ohio, Sherlyn (Dave) Lugibihl of Bluffton and Jeray (Peter) Torry of California.

Wade was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dennis Ley.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 15, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton.  Pastor Jim King, Pastor Dick Potter and Kathy Brauen officiating.  Burial will be in Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery following the service. 

Visitation will be Friday from 3 - 8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice or Ebenezer Mennonite Church.
