Bluffton schools reach five-day calamity limit

Here are some testing dates for elementary through high school

FROM BLUFFTON SCHOOL WEBSITE - Bluffton schools have reached its five-day calamity limit. If additional days of school are cancelled the school will use Monday, Feb. 18, and or spring break, April 18, as make-up dates.

Here’s some additional school news from the website:

ELEMENTARY MEMORY BOOKS: A Memory Book for the 2018-2019 school year is on sale until Feb 15. Additional options are available. Parents may directly order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com. 

ELEMENTARY TESTING DAYS:  Students in grades 3-5 will take Ohio English Language Arts tests on April 3 and 4 and Ohio Math tests on April 10 and 11. Fifth grade students will take Ohio Science tests on April 24 and 25. Second grade students will take Iowa achievement tests March 25-April 2.  

JR. HIGH TRACK SIGN-UP - Any 7th or 8th grade boy or girl interested in participating in track and field this spring, should sign up in the middle school office. Deadline for sign-ups is Monday, Feb. 25.

HIGH SCHOOL STATE TEST DATES: April 4 and April 5 are high school state testing dates for language arts; April 11 and 12 for math and April 25 and 26 for science. 

STATE MANDATED TESTING: The ACT test will be given to juniors only on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Other test dates are April 3-4 for English 9th and 10th grades; April 10-11 for algebra, geometry and integrated math I and II; April 16 for American history and government; and April 25 for biology.
