BCE invites businesses to join

New membership program connecting its network of entrepreneurs and supporters

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs presented its 2019-2020 annual report at an online member meeting of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce on Nov. 13.

Members of the board of directors reviewed how the 501(c)(3) nonprofit has most recently served the four counties surrounding Bluffton.

During this period, the business incubator provided 10 small group events and conducted the Ropp Triplett Business Plan Competition, which awarded $6,000 in business expense reimbursement.

These programs served 143 event attendees. In April, programs were switched from Bluffton-based meetings to online events that are recorded for viewing on the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs YouTube page. There are currently five BCE videos available.

The BCE also connected pre-operational and new businesses with mentors and provided assistance with the creation of Google listings and Facebook content.

The organization announced a new membership program connecting its network of entrepreneurs and supporters.

Businesses and individuals are invited to join the BCE as Leading ($250), Supporting ($100), and Associate ($45) members.

Benefits of membership include receiving the annual report, invitations to events and programs, a network listing,  and a decal showing support of the business incubator.

The program was presented by board members Cameron Warner, Tim Schielschott, and Steve Ritter with BCE Executive Director Paula Scott.
