Health care needs occur at all hours of the day and night. This article is meant to provide helpful information that can be used when determining if you should schedule an appointment with your primary care physician or need more immediate care by choosing a nearby urgent care or hospital emergency department.
Primary Care Offices: Patients are provided with ongoing medical needs, the ability for continuation of care and treatment options. Patients who seek care at their doctor’s office will need to call and schedule an appointment based on available openings.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, which has lasted the better part of a year now, many things have been postponed, cancelled or rescheduled. Family gatherings, vacations and sports are just a few examples of things that may have been put off for another time. Unfortunately, many people have also experienced this with their recommended health screening examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. For many reasons, routine screening examinations may have been postponed, cancelled or rescheduled.

Bluffton Hospital, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, will offer another vaccination clinic for the community.
In this phase, individuals who are 18 years of age and older will be able to receive the Moderna vaccine. The clinic will be held on Thursday, April 8 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
To register, call 419.369.2323 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are a limited number of vaccines available, therefore vaccines will be given on a first call, first-served basis. A caregiver or loved one may make an appointment on behalf of a patient.
Bluffton Hospital asks persons calling to schedule a vaccine on the special vaccine number to please use the new "369" Bluffton phone prefix when calling the hospital.
The correct phone number is 419-369-2323.
It is easy to confuse this number with the older "358" prefix, which is incorrect.

Second update - An earlier announcement on March 16 of 40 and older available for vaccines was premature from the Hancock County Health Department. The correct age for Friday's clinic is 50 and older.
Bluffton Hospital, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, will offer another vaccination clinic for the community.
In this phase, individuals who are 50 years of age and older will be available to receive the vaccination, along with those with Type 2 Diabetes and end-stage renal disease.
