Art camp for elementary youth at BFR

Two-day camp Aug. 1-2, registration underway

Bluffton Family Recreation is taking registrations for an elementary-age art camp in August.

The two-day camp is open to youth who have completed first through fourth grades.

The camp takes place from 3 to 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 1-2, at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

Art supplies and snacks are provided. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. To register contact BFR at 419-358-4150.

Still time to sign up for T-ball and lots of other summer BFR activities

Yoga, soccer, softball, pickleball, adventure camps, art camp

There is still time to sign-up for several summer classes and activities at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Relay for Hope June 23-24 at BFR

Bluffton's Relay for Hope takes place at Bluffton Family Recreation Friday and Saturday, June 23-24.

Part of the BFR gymnasium will be unavailable starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 23, but will be available again Saturday morning.

BFR women's tennis tourney reschduled

Due to gas line work on College Avenue

Due to the closure of East College Avenue's because of gas line work, the Bluffton Family Recreation women's tennis tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 17, will be moved to a later date. That date is not yet set.

The tournament will take place in Bluffton at the Howe Tennis Courts on East College Avenue, across from Harmon Field.

Hey, seniors, Tuesdays and Thursdays it's pickleball time!

9 to 11 a.m. at Bluffton Family Recreation

Silver Sneakers pickleball is coming to Bluffton Family Recreation on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings in June.

Play takes place from 9 to 11 a.m., according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

Pickleball is free for Silver Sneakers members, and $2 for non-Silver Sneakers members.

BFR accepting registrations for Laffalot Camp in July

Morning camp for youth ages 6-12

Bluffton Family Recreation is taking registrations for Laffalot Camp scheduled for Monday through Friday, July 10-14, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

Laffalot Summer Camp offers youth ages 6 to 12 a week of fun-filled activities. Camp is held from 9 a.m. to noon.

Led by well-trained counselors, campers will spend the day playing high-energy sports and games that help them:

• Develop teamwork

• Build whole body coordination

• Learn sportsmanship
