Here's BFR's final week of free classes

Keeping Active 2017 ends Feb. 24

This is the final week of free classes offered this winter by Bluffton Family Recreation's Keeping Active program, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Here's this week's free opportunities:

Monday, Feb. 20
Free walking all day to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb . 21
Total body conditioning, free class, 7:30 a.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 22
Free walking all day, 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Free yoga class, Bluffton Public Library, 6:30 p.m.

3 BFR programs canceled Feb. 9

However, adult volleyball still on the schedule

Bluffton Family Recreation will cancel the following programs for Thursday, Feb. 9, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

•  K-3 basketball from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
• HS boys indoor soccer leagues
• Children's swim lessons (held at the Comfort Inn).

However, adult volleyball will take place.

Youth spring program sign-ups underway at BFR

Indoor soccer, U6 soccer, flag football, youth after-school programs

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting registrations for several spring programs, according to Joseph Beagle, director. For more details or to registered contact BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton, or call 419-358-4150.

Feb. 19- April 1
Registration Deadline: Feb 12
5-week league plus a tournament

Free Silver Sneakers Classic class Friday AM at BFR

Part of Keeping Activity free options this winter

A free class of Silver Sneakers will be offered at 9:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at Bluffton Family Recreation.

It's part of this winter’s Keeping Active program of free activities. From Jan. 16 through Feb. 24 BFR offers free fitness, physical activity, nutrition and general wellness events for youth through seniors, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

Thursday AM is a free Total Body Conditioning class

A free class of Total Body Conditioning will be offered at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, at Bluffton Family Recreation.

Here's this week's free programming schedule:

Tiny Tots! each Friday morning at BFR

30-minute session for 18-month-olds to age 5

Tiny Tots! continues this winter on Friday mornings at Bluffton Family Recreation.

Sessions are from 10 to 10:30 a.m. now through the end of February. The sessions are open to youth 18 months through 5.

Activites includes games with coordination, balance, social skills and lots of fun. Kids should  bring their moms or dads to participate with them.
